One of my favorite things to do when I am working on a particular character needing to be fleshed out is to write what I call one-shots about either a typical day-in-the-life situation or a critical character-building moment. Sometimes (often) these one-shots can actually make it into print and become part of the finished product. Then, there are others that make amazing stand-alone stories which do well to build the universe and give further perspective into the characters, but don’t quite fit with the narrative within the novel.

There are hundreds of these one-shots just sitting in crumbling notebooks or rotting on my hard-drive. The solution? I’m publishing them right here to be enjoyed for free!
